Bye bye Dubai
Nimesh Kampani, we hear, is moving base. Nope, not back to India. His Andhra Pradesh woes continue (see our first issue for a rundown). He lost his appeal in the High Court for anticipatory bail. (The Supreme Court had earlier dismissed his appeal and told him to approach the AP courts instead.) So it’s reasonable to assume that we won’t be seeing him strolling around Hyderabad any time soon. Instead, he’s Singapore-bound. Whether it’s push — Dubai’s downward spiral — or the siren call of Singapore’s rise as a new player in Asian financial markets, we don’t know. AP’s loss.
