Ending the debate on a dead-end distinction
Comment

We now live in the classic paradoc of having Leaders who did not manage and managers who did not lead ...while knowing and ignoring the practical facet of business mangement ...which is to do both lead and manage . The proportion of leadership and management may change from 80/20 to 20/80 in the mgmt heirarchy , but it can never and shoud not be 0/100 or 100/0 .
The global mess we are in is a result of having forgotten the basics of financial management and business management ... which is accountability and this is always an inherent role of every leader cum manager .

I love this article. It is a wonderfully written distinction.
