he tenth Ishara International Puppet Festival is on in Mumbai, Gurgaon and New Delhi this February.
This annual festival has brought together groups from UK, Holland, Spain, Ireland, USA, Japan, Taiwan, Sweden and India. The performances range from traditional rod & string puppets to visual stories and epics.
The festival features names such as Hilary Chaplain, Avner Eisenberg, Parwaz Puppet Theatre, a group from Afghanistan, Laura Kibel and Teatro dei Piedi from Italy.
This is a collaboration between Teamwork Productions and The Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust.
Dates for Ishara International Puppet Festival 2012,
- • February 1–5 and February 13–15 at Epicentre, Gurgaon
- • February 3–13 at India Habitat Centre, Delhi
- • February 14–16 at NCPA, Mumbai
