Bentley’s upcoming SUV named Bentayga—the name is attributed to an iconic peak called the Roque Bentayga in the Canary Islands and also, the Taiga Forests in the north of England—is expected to be revealed this year. Although, at debut, it is expected to sport a 12-cylinder engine in the company’s trademark W configuration, in 2017, Bentley will debut a V8 diesel engine in the Bentayga, similar to the one in the Porsche Cayenne or the Audi Q7/A8. Bentley will also launch the Bentayga with a hybrid powerplant, with either a V6 or V8 petrol. One of the features of this power plant is its ability to run for up to 50 km on pure electric power.

Spanish brand Bultaco, founded in 1958, is making a comeback with the Brinco hybrid bike. The aluminium-frame 33-kg Brinco spans the space between a bicycle and a motorcycle and boasts of a self-developed electric propulsion system with energy accumulation and regeneration systems. It intends to offer a range of customisation options. Battery-only range is 30 km but pedalling can add as much as 70 km to that.
