More About Summer Holidays
Overhearing conversations of people planning their summer holidays is a staple feature of the season. Discussions centre around must-see things, must-visit places, must-carry clothes.

A dipstick survey found that more people are opting for a taste of summer on foreign shores, and are getting a little more adventurous in these choices. Last year, places in North America—Canada, Miami, New York, Mexico—were among the common destinations, whereas this year Central Europe, South America and Turkey are hotspots on the tourist map.

Travellers are also spending more on their vacations: Compared to an average of Rs 94,000 last year, they are spending close to Rs 1.6 lakh per person this holiday season.
