The World's Largest Solar Thermal Facility Can Light Up 140,000 Homes

The project, a partnership of NRG, BrightSource, Google and Bechtel, is the world’s largest solar thermal facility and produces energy to power over 140,000 homes

20,000 MW is the India’s solar power target by 2020. The second phase of the national solar mission is poised to give us a lead in solar power development, a World Bank report has said. Solar energy cost has gone down to $0.15 per kWh, making India among the lowest cost destinations for grid-collected solar photovoltaic power in the world.
