Fausto Giaccone’s job as a photojournalist took him to Colombia for the first time, when he turned to Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude as a virtual guide. “In that book, I found everything. Not only the best contemporary Colombian literature, but also its topography, its history, its traditions and its pain, its light and its shadows,” writes Giaccone.
