Over 200 Chinese artworks—including oil paintings, ink works, sketches, block prints and sculptures—are being displayed through August in Revolutionary Art: Exhibitions of the 65th Anniversary of the Founding of People’s Republic of China at Shanghai’s Long Museum, founded by billionaire Liu Yiqian. The 51-year-old tycoon, chairman of conglomerate Sunline Group—that is into chemicals, pharmaceuticals, real estate and financial services—is well known for setting record prices at art auctions; he bought a Song Dynasty vase for $14.7 million at Sotheby’s Hong Kong sale in April. The piece will eventually be housed at the Long Museum along with his other acquisitions
